Revopoint INSPIRE 2
The INSPIRE 2 combines infrared structured light with an 11-line infrared laser and reaches up to 0.05 mm accuracy according to the manufacturer. It works via USB-C, Wi-Fi or with a smartphone, but laser mode requires a PC.
Ideal for: Beginners and hobby makers who want to scan small to medium-sized objects for 3D printing at low cost
Price in the manufacturer's shop€448 (was €560), Standard EditionAs of 26 Oct 2026, can change dailyThere is no manufacturer's shop price for your region, the EU price is shown.
Before buying: Check the PC requirements in the table. Many scanners need a current graphics card and at least 16 GB RAM for processing. Shiny, dark or transparent parts need scanning spray, depending on the technology. More at Preparing the scan.
Suitable for (according to the manufacturer)
- small to medium objects with pronounced geometry
- Parts for 3D printing and reverse engineering
- Assets for animation, games and VR
- reflective, dark or low-texture surfaces (laser mode)
Pros and cons
Pros
- Two scanning methods (infrared structured light and infrared laser) in the lower price range
- Wireless via Wi-Fi and usable with a smartphone, colour capture
- Lightweight (190 g), outdoor filter included in the box
Cons
- Laser mode needs markers and, for full speed, a PC with an NVIDIA GPU
- Spray needed on transparent or reflective surfaces
- Coarser point distance (0.1 mm) than Revopoint's laser scanners
