In short

Without your consent, this site sets no cookies other than technically necessary ones (see below) and loads no content from third parties. YouTube videos are only loaded when you click on them. Fonts and all files come from our own web space. Only if you agree in the banner do we use Google Analytics to see which pages are read. Data is also processed: in the hosting provider's technical server logs, when you write to us via the contact form or by email, when you sign up for the newsletter and when you use the AI device finder.

Hosting and server logs

The site is delivered via Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When a page is requested, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data, in particular IP address, date and time, the requested address, browser identifier and the amount of data transferred. This is necessary to deliver the site and to protect it against attacks.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing the site securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare may also process data in the USA. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. In addition, Cloudflare's data processing agreement with standard contractual clauses applies, which forms part of its terms of use. More in Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Cookies, statistics and local storage

On your first visit, we ask in a banner whether you agree to statistics with Google Analytics. We store your decision in your browser's local storage (localStorage) so that the banner does not appear on every visit. If your browser does not allow local storage, we use a technically necessary cookie with the same information instead. If your browser cannot store anything at all, we do not show the banner, and statistics remain switched off. This is technically necessary and contains only “agreed” or “declined”. You can change your choice at any time via the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.

If you switch between the light and dark design at the top of the page, we also store your choice in your browser's local storage so that it is kept for your next visit. Only “light” or “dark” is stored, in a cookie instead if local storage is blocked. This information is not analysed.

Search runs entirely in your browser: when you open the search page, a search index is loaded from our server, and your search terms do not leave your device.

Prices for your region

At the top of the page, you can choose whether prices and shop links are shown for the EU (euros), the USA (US dollars) or the UK (pounds). If you have not chosen, your browser requests a technical status file from our hosting provider Cloudflare once (/cdn-cgi/trace on this domain). From it, the page reads only the country in your browser in order to preselect the matching region. Cloudflare processes the same technical data as for every page request (see above); we store none of it. Your browser remembers the detected region until you close the window (sessionStorage). If you choose a region yourself, we store it in your browser's local storage. Only “EU”, “US” or “UK” is stored. This information is not analysed. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in showing you suitable prices (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), and for storage in the browser § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG.

Google Analytics (only with consent)

If you agree, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics sets cookies and records which pages you visit, for how long and where you come from (for example via a search engine), as well as device type, browser and approximate location. In the device finder, we also record whether you start it, how many messages you send and which data sheet or shop links you click. We do not transfer the content of your messages to Google Analytics. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25 (1) TDDDG). You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future via the cookie settings. Without consent, Google Analytics is not loaded. The data is deleted after the retention period set in Google Analytics. More in Google's privacy policy.

Some links lead to shops and are marked as advertising links (*). If you buy something there after clicking, we receive a commission, and your price stays the same. As long as you do not click, no data is transferred to these shops or affiliate programmes. This site itself sets no cookies for this.

Only when you click an advertising link do you move to the site of the affiliate programme or the shop. So that a purchase can be attributed to us, the link contains a partner ID. The provider may use cookies or similar technologies and record, for example, the time of the click, the partner ID, IP address, browser identifier and whether a purchase was made. We only receive aggregated information such as clicks, order values and commissions, no names or addresses of buyers.

We currently use these affiliate programmes:

  • Awin (AWIN AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 1A, 10249 Berlin) for links to Longer, 3DMakerpro, LaserPecker and Einstar. The links run via the domain awin1.com, where Awin sets tracking cookies. More in Awin's privacy policy.
  • Impact (impact.com) for links to Creality, ELEGOO, Sovol and Procolored. The links run via the domains sjv.io or pxf.io, where Impact sets tracking cookies. More in Impact's privacy policy.
  • Affiliate programmes of the xTool, Anycubic, SUNLU and Gweike shops: the partner ID is in the link (parameters such as “ref” or “sca_ref”), and attribution is handled by the respective shop, for xTool via the GoAffPro service, for SUNLU via UpPromote. The shops' privacy policies apply.

The respective provider is responsible for the processing after the click. Whether it obtains consent for this depends on its site. You can prevent tracking by blocking third-party cookies in your browser or by visiting the shops directly instead of via our links. Our interest in the commission is a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

The same applies to links to YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Discord and other external sites.

YouTube videos (only after a click)

On some pages, we show our own videos from our YouTube channel. Nothing is loaded from YouTube when the page is opened: you only see a placeholder from our own web space. Only when you click on it is the YouTube player loaded in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com).

From that click onwards, data is transferred to Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) or Google LLC in the USA, for example your IP address, the page visited, browser information and playback data. According to YouTube, playbacks in privacy-enhanced mode are not used to personalise advertising. Google may use cookies or similar technologies. The legal basis is your consent given by the click (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25 (1) TDDDG). Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. More in Google's privacy policy. You can also watch the videos directly on YouTube without embedding; there is a link below every video.

Contact form

If you use the contact form, we transmit your email address, your message and, if provided, your name and subject. The data is not stored on our web space but forwarded directly to us as an email. For sending, we use Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, Paris, France). Brevo processes the data on our behalf on the basis of a data processing agreement. More in Brevo's privacy policy.

The legal basis is your interest in a reply and our interest in handling enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), and for enquiries relating to a contract Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. To protect against spam, the form contains a hidden field and a time check; no further data is collected for this.

Newsletter

If you sign up for the newsletter, the form sends your email address to our main site nadinmacht.de, which handles the sign-up. We store your email address and the page you signed up on. Sign-up uses the double opt-in procedure: you receive an email with a confirmation link and are only subscribed after clicking it. We log the time of sign-up and confirmation so that we can prove the sign-up.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time via the unsubscribe link in every email or by emailing us. After you unsubscribe, we delete your address from the mailing list. To prove earlier consent, we may keep it in a block list for up to three years (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

For sign-up and sending, we use Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, Paris, France). Brevo processes the data on our behalf on the basis of a data processing agreement. More in Brevo's privacy policy.

Analysis: The newsletter contains a small, invisible image (tracking pixel), and the links in it run via Brevo. This lets us see whether and when you opened an email and which links you clicked. This information is linked to your email address. We use it to recognise which content is of interest and to improve the newsletter. The legal basis is the consent you give when signing up (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25 (1) TDDDG). Opting out of the analysis alone is technically not possible. You withdraw it by unsubscribing from the newsletter, after which we no longer analyse anything. If your email program blocks images, opening is not recorded.

To protect against spam, the sign-up form contains a hidden field and a time check. No further data is collected for this.

Price alert

With the price alert, you can be notified by email when the price of a product drops. For this, we store your email address, the selected products, your condition (percentage or target price), the price at the time of setting it up and the time of sign-up and confirmation. The data is held by Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., San Francisco, USA, as the storage of our hosting), and we send the emails via Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, Paris, France). Both process the data on our behalf. With Cloudflare, a transfer to the USA may take place, safeguarded by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.

Sign-up uses the double opt-in procedure: the alert only becomes active after you click the link in the confirmation email. We automatically delete unconfirmed sign-ups after 7 days. We delete a confirmed alert as soon as it has been triggered, at the latest after 12 months. You can delete it at any time via the link in every alert email. We send you only the confirmation and the notification, no advertising, and do not analyse whether you open the emails. To protect against misuse, we count sign-ups per IP address for one hour, after which the counter is deleted.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time. You only receive the newsletter if you tick the box for it and click the newsletter's own confirmation email, see Newsletter.

AI device finder

The device finder is an AI assistant. Data is only transferred when you send a message. Our server sends what you enter there, together with the conversation so far, to Anthropic (Anthropic PBC, San Francisco, USA) so that the AI model Claude can generate a reply. No cookies are set, and your browser does not connect directly to Anthropic. We do not store the conversation, and we cannot read it. It only exists in your open browser window and is gone as soon as you close or reload the page. If you switch on “Remember conversations on this device”, we store your last ten conversations in your browser's local storage (localStorage) so that you can reopen them under “Earlier conversations”. They do not leave your device as a result. They are deleted when you delete them individually or all at once, switch the toggle off or delete the site data in your browser. To protect against misuse, our server briefly processes your IP address to limit too many requests in a short time. We do not pass it on to Anthropic.

The legal basis is your consent, which you give by sending a message after the notice below the input field (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time by no longer using the device finder. Anthropic processes the data on our behalf under its data processing terms. A transfer to the USA may take place. Please do not enter personal data such as names, addresses or phone numbers. More in Anthropic's privacy policy.

The replies are generated by an AI. It uses the device data from this wiki but can be wrong. Manufacturers cannot influence the results.
