Who we are
Nadin
Hi, I'm Nadin, born in '94. My husband Marcus and I live in the north of Germany, together with Amber, our street dog from Cyprus.
For a long time, my job kept me out of the workshop far more than you might expect from NadinMacht: I trained in web design and, as a business development manager in online marketing, spent a lot of time sitting in an office the classic way. How that turned into a channel about 3D printers, lasers, CNC, UV printers and other maker toys, I honestly don't quite know myself. I didn't have a grand plan. I simply started trying things out.
I've always been curious: languages, programming, 3D design, sewing, as long as it's something new. When I see something and wonder “How does that work?” or “Can I do that myself?”, it's pretty certain to become a project at some point.
Marcus
Marcus takes care of the rough stuff: the “dirty” workshop. Sawing, planing, drilling, screwing, priming, anything that makes dust and needs tools. The ideas come from both of us, and Marcus makes sure they turn into something solid. He also helped plan the structure of this wiki.
Our shop: ArtAvenue1994
It all started with our wedding: beautiful photos, but only digital. And anyone who wanted to hold them in their hands as a keepsake found almost nothing but cheap mass-produced goods. So we made it ourselves. That became ArtAvenue1994, a small shop for personalised metal prints made with UV printing, designed, printed and checked by hand in our workshop in Schleswig-Holstein. No dropshipping, every piece is made by us. So what we write about UV printing also comes from everyday work with real orders.
What we currently work with
- eufyMake E1: our UV printer for the shop
- Anycubic Kobra X: Nadin's 3D printer (Anycubic shop*, discount code NADINMACHT)
- Bambu Lab X1 Carbon: lives at Nadin's dad's place
- Acmer P2 with 33 watts: our laser (Acmer shop*)
- Epson SureColor and xTool WonderPress*: for sublimation
Why this wiki?
A lot of information on 3D printing, lasers and UV printing is only available in English, scattered across forums or straight from the manufacturer. We want to collect that knowledge in one place: easy to understand and without the manufacturer's spin. The wiki started in German; this English edition is a translation of it. How we handle data, experience and affiliate links is explained under How we work.
