Where the starting values come from: Ink consumption for full coverage according to the printing press supplier Imago (CMYK about 15 ml/m², white underneath plus 80 to 120 %). Ink price: eufyMake E1 cartridges (€29.99 for 100 ml). Power: manufacturer's figure for the OMTech Spectra A3+. All other values are assumptions from the example in the article. It is most accurate with the consumption from your print software. Rejects: The rate is the share of failed prints among all prints. The calculator spreads the blank, primer and ink of the failed prints across the good pieces; at 10 % rejects that is a surcharge of around 11 % (rate ÷ (1 − rate)). The calculator is not a substitute for tax advice.
