Our take

What is new is the combination: until now, you mostly had to choose. A gantry laser cuts large areas and thick material, while a Galvo laser engraves small areas very quickly. The X1 combines both in one machine. How well this works in everyday use can only be said once independent tests are available.

With 55 W CO₂, the X1 matches the xTool P2S and the Bambu Lab R1 for cutting power. Even the CO₂-only variant costs €3,369 at launch, which is more than both (P2S €2,999, R1 €2,499, each manufacturer's shop as of 08.10.2026). The Galvo head and the expandability only come with the €3,959 variant, and every additional laser module costs €1,979 to €3,169 extra.
