xTool WonderPress
- Manufacturer's specifications according to video: press area 38 x 38 cm, 80 to 210 °C, pressure adjustable 20 to 100 kg, up to 75 mm height.
- Adjustable pressure is an advantage because results can be repeated. The print was even across the whole area.
- Presets are not always right: a DTF transfer was pressed too hot according to the preset. Better to follow the transfer supplier's instructions.
- Creative oven: tumblers without handles worked perfectly, mugs with handles turned pale towards the rim for Nadin. Three mugs take about 30 to 35 minutes including preparation, a dedicated mug press about 3 to 4 minutes per mug. Curing polymer clay worked.
- Vacuum sublimation (e.g. phone cases) needs sublimation-ready blanks, suitable holders and practice.
- Thermoforming has the steepest learning curve: soft TPU film did not give good shapes, with suitable thermoforming film the shapes turned out well. Nadin also pulled a blister pack over a 3D-printed master this way.
- Suits people who combine several techniques and have little space. Too much for occasional shirt pressing.
Automatic heat press with a 380 x 380 mm pressing area and up to 100 kg of pressure. With swap-in modules it can be expanded into a vacuum former, 3D sublimation machine and oven for curing DTF.
Ideal for: For makers who want to cover textile press, 3D sublimation and vacuum forming with one base unit.
