History
WeCreat was founded by William Tang and Bill Sun. Tang previously worked at Philips and Schneider and later became head of research, development and quality and first vice president at Anker, where, according to company information, he built up the smart home division to over 250 million USD in revenue. In October 2023, WECREAT TECH LTD, with an address in Seattle, presented the WeCreat Vision, a 20 W diode laser with an automatically rising metal enclosure. PitchBook places the company in Shenzhen and lists funding rounds in May 2023 and February 2024 with ThunderSoft and Source Code Capital as investors; amounts are not public. For the UV and MOPA device Lumos Ultra, WeCreat raised around 4.99 million USD from 701 backers on Kickstarter from April to June 2026 (as of October 2026).
Customer support and warranty
Support is by email (for Europe support.eu@wecreat.com, reply within 24 hours on working days according to the manufacturer), via a Help Center and, for the USA, additionally by phone hotline. German-language support is not documented; the EU shop is in English. For the United Kingdom WeCreat names its own warehouse; for the EU no warehouse location is stated. According to the manufacturer, the warranty on the main components of the machines is 1 year from receipt, accessories 30 days, and it applies only in the country of purchase. On Trustpilot, wecreat.com has 4.5 out of 5 stars from 239 reviews (as of October 2026); setup and build quality are praised, and criticism is mainly of the software and, occasionally, slow support.
Criticism and problems
No major documented problems found. A recurring criticism in user reports is the company's own software MakeIt! (layer management, few material presets, implausible time estimates). The warranty period of 1 year is below what retailers in the EU legally owe as a statutory warranty; buyers should bear this in mind with direct imports.
