Phrozen: all devices

Phrozen is a Taiwanese manufacturer of LCD resin printers (Sonic series: Mini, Mighty, Mega) along with its own resins, washing and curing accessories, and since 2025 also an FDM printer (Arco). The brand is known above all for high-resolution resin printers, for example for miniatures, jewellery and dental models. Phrozen is of interest to hobby makers and small businesses focused on fine detail, but the documented experiences with service and warranty claims are poor.

History

According to its own account, Phrozen was founded in 2016; the company is called PHROZEN TECH CO., LTD. and is based in Hsinchu, Taiwan; according to the Taiwanese start-up database, its paid-in capital is around 255 million Taiwan dollars. The brand became known through Kickstarter: according to Fabbaloo, the early resin printer Phrozen Make raised over US$360,000, and in 2018 a campaign followed for the cheaper Phrozen Shuffle. The Sonic models came later, now up to resolutions of 16K (Sonic Mighty Revo 16K). With the Arco, Phrozen entered the FDM segment: presented at Formnext 2023, funded via Kickstarter in early 2024, originally announced for July 2024 and, after several delays, delivered to backers only from June 2025. According to the manufacturer, Phrozen is now represented in the USA, Europe, Japan and South Korea; Phrozen does not publish figures on employees or revenue.

Customer support and warranty

According to the manufacturer, support is via a ticket form in the Phrozen Help Center; the support page also points to Discord and Reddit, as well as manuals, resin profiles, firmware updates and safety data sheets. Email address, phone or chat are not given. There is an EU shop (eu.phrozen3d.com) in euros, but only in English; an EU warehouse or EU company is not stated, and there is no legal notice. According to the warranty page, the manufacturer's warranty is one year, excluding consumables and components; the LCD screens of the 4K and 8K models have only 3 months of warranty, and the terms apply to purchases through the official website. The right of return is stated as 13 days; the statutory warranty and the EU right of withdrawal remain unaffected. On Trustpilot, phrozen3d.com has 1.9 out of 5 stars from 12 reviews (as of October 2026), all with one star; the profile is not claimed by the company and replies to reviews are not visible.

Environment and commitment

On its About page the manufacturer names a quality philosophy ("No Best, Only Better") and an ISO certification without details; no concrete programmes on sustainability or social engagement are mentioned.

Criticism and problems

No major documented problems found with regard to recalls or official notices: none could be found for Phrozen devices. What is documented, however, are the repeated delays of the Arco FDM printer and the Chroma Kit multicolour system (planned for July 2024, delivered from June 2025), according to the manufacturer because of design changes to the Chroma Kit. On Trustpilot, users report long delivery times, unanswered messages, rejected warranty claims and defects in the Z axis, motors and LCD; the base is small at 12 reviews and not representative. Critical for buyers in Germany: the EU shop names neither a legal notice nor a contracting party, and the LCD warranty of 3 months is short, even though the LCD is a wear part on resin printers.
