3DMakerpro: all devices

3DMakerpro is the international brand of the Chinese manufacturer Shenzhen Jimuyida Technology and offers 3D scanners for hobbyists and businesses, from small desktop and handheld scanners (Seal, Moose, Mole, Lynx) to LiDAR devices for large areas (Raven, Eagle). The devices run on the company's own software JMStudio, and according to the trade press the hardware is also found in the Creality CR-Scan Lizard. The brand is interesting for makers who want an affordable entry into 3D scanning for 3D printing, but the documented experiences with service are weak.

History

According to retailer and trade fair information, the parent company Shenzhen Jimuyida Technology Co., Ltd. was founded in Shenzhen in 2015 and has focused on 3D scanning from the start; 3DMakerpro is its brand for markets outside China. According to Fabbaloo, the company supplied hardware and software for the Creality CR-Scan Lizard, which Creality sells under its own name; in 2024 3DMakerpro bundled scanners with Creality printers. By its own account, more than 100 people work in research and development, and the company states more than US$30 million in R&D investment, more than 60 patents and ISO 9001 and CMMI 3 certifications; these figures have not been independently verified. According to Caplight, Jimuyida has raised around US$45.7 million in capital, most recently in a Series B round in December 2021. Under the name 3DMakerpro Medical, the company also sells intraoral and lab scanners for dentistry.

Customer support and warranty

According to the manufacturer's troubleshooting document, support runs by email to service@3dmakerpro.com; the manufacturer's website could not be read technically for the research, so further channels and the warranty terms are not documented. A German-language manufacturer shop is not documented; in the DACH region the scanners are sold through retailers such as 3DJake, where the retailer's warranty applies. According to the manufacturer, JMStudio is available in eight languages. On Trustpilot, 3dmakerpro.com has 2.0 out of 5 stars from 12 reviews (as of October 2026), 84% of them with one star, mainly about delivery delays, customer service that is hard to reach and disputes over refunds; the profile has not been claimed by the company and is of little significance given the small number of reviews.

Environment and commitment

The sources consulted give no specific details on social or environmental commitment.

Criticism and problems

No major documented problems found. We are not aware of recalls or regulatory notices for 3DMakerpro scanners (as of 10/2026). The few Trustpilot reviews describe delivery delays, support that is hard to reach and one case of a damaged device with a low compensation offer; because of the small number, this is not representative. It remains unclear which company is the contracting party for direct purchases, and no legal notice was available.
