Convert between grams and metres and check whether what is left on your spool is enough for the next print. The basis is the diameter and density of the material.
How it is calculated: Length = weight ÷ (density × cross-section). At 1.75 mm, the cross-section is about 2.41 mm². A 1 kg spool of PLA (1.24 g/cm³) therefore gives roughly 335 m. The densities are typical manufacturer values and vary by a few percent depending on the brand. The figure on the spool takes precedence. For small remainders, allow some reserve for purging and the first layer.
