Bambu Lab R1 vs. xTool P2S

Both lasers compared directly. The better value is marked in green, where this can be said objectively.

The key differences

  • The Bambu Lab R1 is laser class 1 in its base configuration. According to the manufacturer, the xTool P2S is Class 4 (class 1 version available), so you need laser safety glasses for the matching wavelength.
  • According to the manufacturer, the Bambu Lab R1 is faster (up to 1,000 mm/s instead of 600 mm/s). This saves time, especially on large engravings.
  • Both are in the same price class, but in the manufacturer's shop the Bambu Lab R1 is around €500 cheaper (as of 8 Oct 2026).
