History
According to its own account, Thunder Laser was officially founded in Dongguan in 2011 and has built CO2 lasers ever since. According to the manufacturer, a development centre in Germany and the Nova series were established between 2014 and 2016, and a sales centre in the USA and the in-house LaserMaker software in 2017 to 2018. These were followed by the Aurora galvo markers (2021 to 2022), the Bolt desktop series (2023 to 2024), RF tube lasers (2025) and, in 2026, a metal 3D printer (SLM-175) and a fume extractor. According to the manufacturer, the factory covers 23,000 square metres, with three production lines and an annual capacity of over 5,000 machines; the company cites over 110 patents. Revenue and total headcount are not published.
Customer support and warranty
Service is regional: in Germany, Allplast in Gauting is the contact (phone and email in German), in the USA it is Thunder Laser USA in Quitman (Texas), which gives a 2-year warranty on its machines there. Globally, Thunder Laser offers a support centre, technical email, WhatsApp and appointments with technicians; according to the manufacturer there are over 20 service centres and over 200 partners. The warranty period for Europe is not stated on the manufacturer's websites. Thunder Laser USA has 4.9 out of 5 stars on Trustpilot from around 1,379 reviews (as of October 2026), with much praise for advice and technical support; there is no comparable review base for Europe.
Environment and commitment
According to the manufacturer, Thunder Laser has been active in the education market since 2017 and supplies machines and software (LaserMaker) to schools.
Criticism and problems
No major documented problems found. Note: warranty and support depend on the regional partner; Thunder Laser USA, for example, charges fees for transferring the warranty (100 USD) and support (400 USD) on second-hand purchases, and Thunder Laser Global does not offer warranty transfer.
