History
According to the company profile on 3Dnatives, Shenzhen Longer 3D Technology Co., Ltd. was founded in June 2014 and is recognised in China as a high-tech enterprise; the profile also says that Longer took over the British company RepRapPro with its technology and sales channels. Longer became known with resin printers of the Orange series and FDM printers such as the LK4 and LK5 Pro; from 2022, laser engravers moved into the foreground (Ray5 2022, B1 2023, Nano Pro 2024, Nano Duo 2025). At the end of 2025 the dual-print-head UV printer ePrint launched on Kickstarter and, according to Kicktraq, raised around US$4.09 million from 1,540 backers by January 2026. According to the manufacturer, Longer has over 1 million active users, is present in over 120 countries and holds more than 56 patents; information on employees or revenue is missing.
Customer support and warranty
Support runs by email (support@longer.net), through a service centre in the shop, a US telephone number and a Facebook community; manuals and software are in the download area. The longer.net shop is in English only, but offers euro prices and free shipping to the EU from US$49; an EU warehouse is not expressly mentioned. The warranty is 12 months on main parts (including the laser module on lasers), 3 months on wear parts and, for the UV printer, only 3 months on the printhead; a one-year extension costs 10% of the purchase price. On Trustpilot, longer3d.com has 4.9 out of 5 stars from 738 reviews (as of October 2026); many reviews praise fast replies and free spare parts. Longer actively invites reviews, which probably helps explain the very high score, and according to Trustpilot does not reply to negative reviews.
Environment and commitment
The ePrint uses an open ink system that, according to the manufacturer, also accepts ink from other suppliers.
Criticism and problems
No major documented problems found. We are not aware of recalls or regulatory notices for Longer devices (as of 10/2026). For the ePrint Kickstarter project (late 2025), there were no reliable reports of delivery problems up to October 2026; however, Kickstarter is not a shop, and backers bear the delivery risk. Some customers criticise return fees, but this is not widely documented.
