History
According to its own account, ComMarker was founded in 2017 by laser engineers and released the B1 fibre laser in the same year; the legal entity is Hefei ComMarker Technology Co., Ltd. The portable B4 fibre laser followed in October 2022 and raised USD 296,430 on Kickstarter (the manufacturer states a total of USD 466,858). The B6 with autofocus and a MOPA option arrived in July 2024, the Omni 1 UV laser in November 2024, and later its successor, the Omni X. The range now also includes the Titan series and RF CO2 lasers (COX series). According to the manufacturer, ComMarker has over 280,000 users in 182 countries, and 72 percent of its employees work in development; the company does not state a total headcount.
Customer support and warranty
Support is provided through a support centre with downloads, by email and through a Facebook group; phone support is missed in user reports. German-language support is not documented. According to the manufacturer, orders from the EU are shipped from a warehouse in Germany, or from China if out of stock. ComMarker does not state a specific warranty period on its policy pages; repairs are handled through a repair centre after a remote diagnosis. On Trustpilot, commarker.com has 3.7 out of 5 stars from 98 reviews (as of October 2026), with a clearly divided picture between fast help and reports of delivery delays, defective devices and slow refunds.
Criticism and problems
In 2025, Tom's Hardware criticised the Omni X for unfinished software with several faulty updates and missing documentation. In the Trustpilot profile, customers report delivery delays, slow refunds and faulty devices; one reviewer says a warranty extension was offered in exchange for a positive review, another that critical posts were removed from the manufacturer's forum (individual reports, not independently confirmed). The warranty period is not clearly stated on the manufacturer's website.
