Bambu Lab A1 vs. Elegoo Centauri Carbon

Both printers compared directly. The better value is marked in green, where this can be determined objectively.

The key differences

  • Only the Elegoo Centauri Carbon has an enclosure. That is a clear advantage for ABS, ASA and other materials prone to warping.
  • The Elegoo Centauri Carbon is a CoreXY printer, the Bambu Lab A1 a bed slinger. CoreXY allows higher accelerations and is more stable with tall parts.
  • Both are roughly on par in build volume.
  • The Elegoo Centauri Carbon reaches higher nozzle temperatures (320 °C), which makes it better suited to engineering filaments.
  • Multicolour printing is only possible with the Bambu Lab A1 (optional with AMS lite (up to 4 colours, available as Combo)).
