Filament dryer comparison
18 current dryers and multi-colour systems with heating, sorted by price. The most important criterion is the maximum temperature: it determines which filaments you can dry with them. How to read the table
- Enough for: a rough guide by maximum temperature. PLA, PETG and TPU need 55 to 65 °C, ABS and ASA around 70 °C, nylon and PC 70 to 80 °C or more. The manufacturer's figure is a maximum; often somewhat less reaches the spool.
- Spools: Number of 1 kg spools according to the manufacturer.
- Multi-colour systems: only dry in combination with the matching printer. With the Bambu Lab AMS 2 Pro, the maximum value is only reached in a sufficiently warm environment according to the manufacturer, and on the A1, X1, P1 and P2 it needs an adapter for drying.
- Prices: As of 15.10.2026; they fluctuate widely with promotions. “according to retailer” means that the manufacturer does not state the value itself and that it comes from the retailer 3DJake.
